Time of Eve Movie Details Updated

Posted on: November 4, 2009

Rikuo and Sammy.

Time of Eve (Eve no Jikan in Japanese), the critically acclaimed online anime from Studio Rikka, has updated its plans for the upcoming movie version of the science fiction series, scheduled for release next spring. Where originally the upcoming movie was planned to span the first 4 episodes of the first season, the website for the anime has been updated with an updated blurb, saying that the movie will retell the stories of the whole first series, 6 episodes in all.

If you haven’t seen Time of Eve, I would highly recommend that you track it down and watch it. The episodes are only 15 minutes long and available for free on Crunchyroll, so it will take around an hour and a half to polish off the whole series. I promise that you won’t regret a minute – it’s a very good science fiction story about the nature of life and humanity, in the Asimov style (and not in the style of Will Smith using Asimov as a star vehicle).

A movie! I didn’t know there was a movie in the making! This sounds most excellent. I loved Time of Eve when I found it around episode 4 on Crunchyroll – which is good because there were about two months between episodes. As mentioned in an interview, they only have one studio team that does all the work. Keep us posted on this movie thing, I want to know more!

I was wondering if anyone knew the release date for the movie Time of Eve
