Kaminomi, Super Robot Wars, Many Other Titles Claimed by Crunchyroll

Posted on: September 16, 2010

You want fall anime? Crunchyroll has your fall anime right here.

Yesterday, the anime streaming site announced a host of Kadokawa titles, including:

The World God Only Knows
Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt
Squid Girl (Shinryaku! Ika Musume)
Super Robot Wars OG: The Inspector
Sora no Otoshimono: Forte
Tegami Bachi season 2
Fortune Arterial

They also said that 13 titles from Kadokawa’s back catalog will be added soon, but this is a pretty spicy announcement as it is. While I’m still not very hot about Panty & Stocking, the Kaminomi (The World God Only Knows) anime has been high on my priority list ever since I first read the manga and went “Man, this is becoming an anime and soon.”

What are you guys looking forward to?

Looking forward to Kaminomi as well, manga was pretty good. Also Star driver for sheer ridiculousness, Index s2 and Railgun OVA for biribiri, Bakuman because it’s a shounen not centered around fighting for once, and Mirai Nikki OVA because yandere.

1. The World God Only Knows because… well, it’s been said like a thousand times, right? (i.e. That is good).
2. Star Driver, ’cause I keep getting Gurren Lagann vibes from it. And I LOVED that series.
3. Index (and maybe Railgun) because OH GOD IF THIS IS SUCCESSFUL MAYBE THEY CAN ANIMATE SOME OF THE CRAZY SHIT THAT HAPPENS IN LATER NOVELS (like the ones where Accelerator basically becomes the main character)

Also, a few addendums/questions for you, Dom
– Panty & Stocking seems to be rubbing everyone the wrong way. I mean, FLCL and Dead Leaves were pretty fucking insane, not to mention Gurren Lagann. Does it seems to be that much of a departure (other than art-wise, of course)?
– Dom, have you heard anything about Nyan Koi? Wasn’t it supposed to get a second season? I know you did a review WAY back when you first started this blog, so perhaps you’ve heard something.
– Now that I remember what you said about Saint young men and after watching Arakawa’s Trailer for the second season, I feel totally at ease.

So, yeah. Apologies for the wall of text.
