Preview: Mayochiki! Promo Streamed
Posted April 28, 2011
on:Starchild released the first promo video for Mayochiki!, a new anime planned for the summer season.
The title is a multi-meaning pun on the abbreviation for mayonnaise chicken, and also for the term “lost sheep” (mayoeru hitsuji), so Mayochiki! is short for Mayoeru Shitsuji to Chikin Yarou (Lost Butler and the Chicken Dude).

Sunrise announced today that they are remastering the original 26-episode Scryed TV series for the 10th anniversary into two parts, with many all-new ingredients.
The newly-updated official website says that the script will be rewritten, voices will be re-recorded, and new animation will be mixed in with remastered original animation. The site hints that everything will be reorganized, so it’s possible the story ordering will change as well.
I’ll update this post later when the promotion video is released in a form that’s viewable outside Japan. Update 4/17: Promotion video after the break.

April Fools Day is now over in Japan. It’s not really a big thing there, only really having much impact among a subculture of game, anime, and technology fans, but then again that’s what we cover here.
A few companies put in some extra effort on April Fools Day. Square Enix and A-1 Pictures put together a full (fake) trailer with animation and voice acting for a (fake) Working!! season 2 starring a whole new cast of characters from the (real) Nekogumi version of the comic.
When April 2 rolled around, they came back with a real trailer for the real season 2 of Working!!.
