Starchild released the first promo video for Mayochiki!, a new anime planned for the summer season.
The title is a multi-meaning pun on the abbreviation for mayonnaise chicken, and also for the term “lost sheep” (mayoeru hitsuji), so Mayochiki! is short for Mayoeru Shitsuji to Chikin Yarou (Lost Butler and the Chicken Dude).
Today on the website and official twitter account, the date for the next episode of Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai (“My Little Sister Can’t Possibly Be This Cute”) was announced. It’s coming April 26, at noon JST. That’s less than 4 days away.
There’s also a preview up on the official site. I will update this post when I am able to embed the preview.

Three new anime shows were announced recently, in vastly different ways.
The most recent announcement, via a teaser website, was Persona 4 The Animation, based on the game of the same name. The cast stays the same as the game as well. Animation production will be done by AIC Asta (Sora no Otoshimono series), and the director is Kishi Seiji (Angel Beats!).
The Magica Quartet team announced on their official website and twitter account that Puella Magi Madoka Magica episodes 11 and 12 will air back-to-back on sponsor TV station MBS (in the Osaka area) on April 21 at 26:40 JST (aka 2 hours, 40 minutes after midnight, technically 4/22). TBS (in the Tokyo area) will air 10, 11, and 12 consecutively starting at 27:00 on the same day.
The newly-updated official website says that the script will be rewritten, voices will be re-recorded, and new animation will be mixed in with remastered original animation. The site hints that everything will be reorganized, so it’s possible the story ordering will change as well.
I’ll update this post later when the promotion video is released in a form that’s viewable outside Japan. Update 4/17: Promotion video after the break.
Bioware and FUNimation Entertainment announced today that they are teaming up with animation production company T.O. Entertainment to produce a Mass Effect anime feature. Streaming and video release is planned for summer of 2012.
